Man in the Mirror
True artists rise among others because of their determined vision, persistent action and irrevocable notion of believing that nothing is impossible.
Under that great inspiring statement, an occurrence that is still hard to believe played a sad joke on us last summer. What seemed impossible actually happened.
Michael Jackson, was a god on earth, creator of energy who transformed his mortality into an immortal through his music, and regardless his passing, he will be eternally alive. Why? Because he left a legacy, he inspired people.
His main message was that if you want to make a change happen, it must start within. He did it. He showed us. He proved it artistically.
He did what most will think was impossible; he invented the concept of perfection. And he was just like you and me.
Michael Jackson died on June 25th, 2009 eight days before his world tour comeback, after a long 10-year hiatus. He had three intense months preparing for his concert, non-stop rehearsals, his “This is It”. We, however, never got to see it.
I highly recommend to watch “This is it,” a documentary put together about the preparation for the series of concerts that sold more than 800,000 tickets and had more than 200,000 people in line to buy one more entrance to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“This is it” is a compilation of side camera takes watching Michael, the crew, dancers and other musicians as they prepared for the show. It also captures MJ’s humbleness and love for humanity. This is it, like an ultimatum, it was.
